For Schools

The University Museums Network of Parma offers to local and extraregional Schools a number of activities related to its scientific and historical collections, and to the different disciplines represented.

On occasion of this event, Schools of any grade may benefit from guided tours  and teaching laboratories to introduce students to the scientific collections, and stimulate their curiosity and capacity towards cultural elaboration.

Any interested teacher may fill the  on-line form to get immediate information on the activities of the University Museums Network of Parma during the course of the academic year.

GUIDED TOURS
An entertainer is in charge to guide school classes throughout the various exposition areas.  Features of the exposed items are analyzed, and hypotheses on their function are developed.  Observation and historical-scientific description are at the base to understand the old and new technologies.

Upon request, tours can be specifically organized for children (School grade 1 to 5) to avoid sections that might  emotionally be too hard, including the rooms with the human anatomical specimens, and anatomical masks.
For any explanation and/or request, please contact: settore.musei@unipr.it

TEACHING LABORATORIES
A number of teaching laboratories focused on specific scientific topics related to the exposition will be organized, and held by a qualified staff.
